Next Saturday, October 22nd we will travel to Barcelona where JAF Band will play with the great Max Tyler and his band in the first day of Country pels Xuklis organized by #rockpelsxuklis in benefit of AFANOC.

Not to be missed. Good music by two great bands that will have Ferran Benito who will guide us to dance, if you feel like it, some song.

Cowboy strong!

We start this year’s journey by delivering, together with the Serra de Prades Resort, a new donation to AFANOC TARRAGONA. Due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, the Parc de Nadal de Reus, which traditionally took place during the Christmas holidays, could not be held.

That was not an obstacle to continue being supportive, so for another year Mr. Xavier Blanch, representing our foundation, and Sr. Josep Ramon Guiu, representing the Serra de Prades made a donation at the headquarters of the AFANOC delegation in Tarragona.

We start the year with a new concert of the JAF Band in the framework of the Festa Major de Premià de Dalt on the initiative of a great friend Xavier Peralba.

In March a meeting with activities for AFANOC families was offered in the incomparable surroundings of the Serra de Prades resort. Once again the Guiu family collaborated with our foundation to organize in their facilities a magnificent day in which attendees could participate in a live demonstration of birds of prey, visit their farm and eat together at the restaurant Els ceps. After lunch the children and their families attended a magic show.

In July the foundation returned to the Serra de Prades resort where the AFANOC Tarragona delegation held a day of activities. At the end of the day Mr. Xavier Blanch, president of the foundation, together with Sr. Josep Ramon Guiu, on behalf of Serra de Prades Resort, made a donation to the representatives of AFANOC TARRAGONA.

The next day the JAF Band entertained the solidarity barbecue with a semi-acoustic concert as part of the cultural program of the Serra de Prades Resort.

During the course of this year we have carried out various activities aimed at continuing to raise funds for our social objective.

At the organizational level in 2019 the V edition of Cowboy Day was held at the Brugaroles farmhouse. A new successful edition of which you can find a chronicle in the activities section.

And at the request of AFANOC’s activity managers, the first edition of Whisperer Day was held. On this occasion, an event with coaching sessions with horses was organized for the young people of AFANOC. It was an unforgettable day.

The Jeb Andrews Foundation Band attended some private events. The first one took place on June 15 and was the wedding of Angie and Jordi. The bride and groom made a generous donation to the foundation after the band’s performance. In July, another friend, Josep Alberch, celebrated his birthday in the company of many close friends, whom he asked to donate to the foundation instead of buying him a gift. And in August Natural Hipic Jeb Andrews performed a solo acoustic concert in the solidarity day organized by the Araquistaín family in their facilities on the occasion of the Sant Jaume festivity.

They were all very well received initiatives and showed us that everyone, each in their own way, can contribute to improve the conditions of the families staying at Casa dels Xuclis while their child receives treatment.

Our band performed in July at the Festa Major de Cardedeu, hired by the City Council, at the request of Gabi and Paqui from XAFA’L amics i amigues del country. In addition, at the end of the concert we received a donation made by voluntary contributions from some of those present.

We end the year with two great concerts by the Jeb Andrews Foundation Band. The first one took place in September at La Perdición in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The JAF Band was invited by the Country Boots Association and the amount raised by this event was donated, on this occasion, to the ASPANAFOA association (association of parents of children with cancer in Alava).

On December 14, a new concert of the band took place at La Capsa in Prat de Llobregat.
